1. More than one third of unmarried men and women in their mid-twenties and early thirties live together. To what extent does this reflect a fundamental shift in society's perception of sexuality and marriage? Comment on the place of cohabitation in society today.
2. In this article, Patricia Morgan says of cohabiting "It has lessened men's sense of responsibility, they can now sow their oats and then just move on. It puts at a disadvantage the women who want marriage and children. They will be undercut by other women who offer men sex without commitment." Do you agree with this? Does it suggest that some women are now behaving more like men in their approach to sexuality and relationships? What might the long term effect of this be?
